Pots of Love

Good morning. Yesterday I made this bookmark, selfishly all for myself to use!
The digi is from Tiddlyinks - called Pots of Love. I coloured her using my copics markers. I added orange stickles to her pot of flowers and her shoes. I then cut 2 Tim Holtz flowers and inked them using VersaMagic yellow and a peach chalk inks. I used other flowers from my stash to make the bloom and finished them with stripy card candy centres. I love the sentiment "That which is good is always beautiful" and I completed the bookmark with some lovely contrasting fibres. I would like to enter this in the following challenges -

Rockpool Fun

Hi - here's another scrapbook page from our holidays last summer. Had great fun taking these pics as Kathryn couldn't stop giggling. We've always loved rock pools since she was a little girl but think this is maybe the smallest crab we have ever found. I was really pleased with the picture which I took on macro. Not much of a photographer but this came out so clear.

I stamped this image using a Paper Artsy stamp and then used a spellbinders die to cut and emboss it. I inked the edges using a VersaMagic chalk ink. I've been digging out lots of stamps I've had for ages and am bringing them back into use.
I used many different elements in this design including -
Lace
Microbeads
Brads
Shells - cut from a 12x12 paper from paperadventures - "Island Lagoon Patchwork Shells"
Ribbon Snaps - Happy & Laugh from "Mellisa Frances.

Teddy post

Good morning everyone. Hope it stops dry long enough for my washing to dry today. Here's a Christmas card I made last week whilst away in my caravan.

This stamped image is from

The Bear Essentials - Christmas is a time for sharing - Buzzcraft Clear Stamps.

I have had this set of stamps for a few years now and it was nice to dig them out again. I coloured my image with copics and added glamour dust to the snow and the teddies hat. The card is made from a glittery snowflake piece of card I have also for a long time. I also used micro beads and some green Happy Christmas ribbon. To finish I added some snowflake sequins and some red gems.

Boy Golfer

Hi  back with a birthday card for my Godson Issac. After speaking to his mum I found out that he is getting golf clubs for his birthday so I knew this digi image from Sassy Cheryl would be just right for his card.
Sassy Cheryls challenge is red, white and blue so following this colour theme I used my copics to colour the digi. Unfortunately I didn't have my glasses on when I cut the image out so most of the golf tee is missing as my daughter pointed out - lol!
I used various backing papers from my stash - all red, white and blue. The rosette is from Forever Friends Best of British 6x6 Designstax. To finish the card off I coloured some card candy with my copics to again complement the colour theme.

The Faries Frolic

Made this card with the http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ challenge in mind. It is based on a picture this month with pinks and lilac being the colours.
The digi is from the Stamping Boutique and is called "The Faries Frolic. I coloured it with copics and used  a Go Kreate Large Frilly Frame to showcase it on. The background paper I have had for ages and it goes so beautifully with the image - its from Dovecraft 6x6 - Fantasy. The bow is made from ribbon from Crafty Emmas ( Her shop is closing and she will be missed). I added some lovely mulberry flowers and some jewel flowers to finish.

By The Sea

Hi, back from a lovely week away in our caravan. Spent most of the time crafting so the weather didn't matter but we were lucky and had lots of sun. My friend and I take our caravans locally every year for a week just indulge in our hobby. Our husbands commute daily to work so we are free to craft all day - bliss. Anyway did quite a lot of scrapbooking as I have been meaning to scrap last years holiday to Scotland.
This is just one of the layouts I did this week.
We stayed in a fishermans cottage about twenty steps to the sea across the rocks. It really was idyllic.
Here I have used a lovely sandy / watery 12x12 paper. The pictures are my Husband, daughter and me - Can't believe how much my hair has grown since this picture (I had just finished chemotherapy) - it used to be straight but is now very curly! I backed them all on contrasting coloured card. The slide mounts I have had for a while - not sure were from and I used some rub ons for the words. The shells are all rub ons - not something I use often but they went so well. The crab is a button and I added some fish just to help give it a sea feel.

Christmas Mouse

Hi - been a while since I last posted. Works been crazy - 5 night shifts and then a study day. Thank goodness its over and tomorrow I'm going away with a friend  crafting for the week! Don't care if it rains just so looking forward to it.
I made this card with Crafty Hazel Nuts challenge in mind -"feature a creature". Love this little mouse - not sure where the digi image is from - sorry - I'm trying to keep a better record of where I get things from now, but before blogging I never had the need.
I coloured the mouse with copics and then used a die to cut him out. I used various backing papers from my Christmas stash, added a sentiment and bow made from some lovely snowflake ribbon. I finished it of with a glittery flower I have had for ages and some red sticky gems.

horse crazy

Good morning - back with another card. This is a card commissioned by a friend for a horse lover. She saw the stamp by Coronado Island Stamps called "True Love" and asked me to make her a birthday card with it. Here is what I came up with -
I stamped the image using a VersaMagic chalk ink - jumbo java and used a Go Kreate die - Large frame Frilly#10. I distressed the edges using a contrasting VersaMagic - persimmon.
The backing papers are by Boho Chic. The flowers are from the HobbyHouse and I added some card candy also from there. The sentiment is raised and some lovely wools added to finish it off.

I again used the Boho Chic papers to make the inside of the card as special as the front. I used a Tim Holtz flourish and several different flower punches which once assembled I added a small peach pearl. The sentiment I made on microsoft word and is from a book -" Thinking of You - a Greeting for Every Occasion ". I am entering this card in the following challenges -    2sisterschallenge-94-inside-out      cutiepiechallenge./Die cuts and punches ( hope this is cute enough)          divasbydesignchallenge-38-chocolate -( chocolate horses!)             joyfulstamper/inspire-me-fridays-61-anything-goes  greatimpressionsstamps./challenge-4die-cuts-or-punches

Link Up For Pink

Good afternoon. Yesterday whilst browsing through blogland I discovered a blog  - Link up for Pink. This blog highlights breast cancer awareness and having just recently finished treatment for breast cancer I was thrilled to have found this site. I am a survivor and very happy to be able to say that after a long hard road to recovery, supported by my wonderful husband and daughter the future is now looking bright. They are holding their 2nd challenge at the moment so please take time to pop over and visit their blog at http://www.linkupforpink.com/.
This digi is is called - thinking pink Lara and is from digital delights by Loobylou. The backing paper supporting breast cancer is also a free digital down load. Link up for pink have some free links for digis. I coloured the image using copics and used a spell binders circle die to cut and to mount her on. I added some lovely pink ribbon and finished it off with some various size hotfix rhinestones around the edge.

Ticket to ride

Hi this is the last card I made on Friday. All settled in front of the television ready for the Party at the Palace. 10 years ago I was lucky enough to be at Buckingham palace for the Golden jubilee and what an experience - out of this world !x!
This card is for my Godson who is 2 years old soon.

The image is a stamp from Molly Bloom and I have coloured it using promarkers whilst I was at a friends.. Love the way they are having a ride in the wheelbarrow.
Saw a challenge over on City Crafter - mode of transport + a ticket so hope this fits the bill. The ticket is from
Tim Holtz book of tickets. The backing papers are from my stash. I used some eyelets that I have had a long time and the owl brad is so cute. To finish I added some ribbon and some small spotty buttons.

Monkey House

This card was made for a little boy who likes to announce "Cheeky Monkey is here" so thought immediately of him.
This stamped image is from Bazoo - Cheeky Monkey. I used copics to colour him in and a die by Xcut - ornate frame. I have only just got this die and love the effect it gives. The stamp has various different wording to put in the sign but I went with the Happy Birthday.

The backing paper is from an old magazine - it had a jungle theme section so went very well. I used a spellbinders circle die and cut a number 3 out of orange card. I distressed the edges of both dies with VersaMagic chalk inks. I finished the card with sticky gems in the corners. I would like to enter this in the following challenges -

Here Comes Summer

This is the second card I made yesterday. Been having lots of problems with blogger today but having spoken to my friendly IT consultants (Helen & Ted - thank-you) it seems to be resolved.

This image is from Stampendous - Seashell Points - such a lovely summery stamp which I coloured it with my copics. I used a Go Kreate die - Frilly#1 and edged it with a VersaMagic chalk ink.
I have used a mesh type backing for the image ( sorry I don't know what this is called) and a paper from my stash. I then stamped the seahorse using another Stampendous image - Limpet points and coloured it and raised it in the top corner of the card. I used some lovely lemon ribbon and 2 seashell brads. I made a pin decorated to add to the seaside theme and the angel fish and coral came from a very old sticker sheet!

Under the Sea

Had a lovely day yesterday - crafting all day at a friends. Managed to make 4 cards so will have a few posts if I can drag myself awayfrom the Jubilee Celebreations. So glad I have the weekend off work, lets just hope the rain holds off.
This lovely digi image is one i won in a Craft your Passion challenge. She is call ed MerMae and is from www.someoddgirl.com I coloured her with copics - my collection is steadily growing. I used the circle spellbinders around the image. I had a few challenges in mind when thinking about this cards design.
The card design is using a sketch this week from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog. For the backing strips I used contrasting pieces of coloured card which I ran through my Xcut crimper to give a wavy sea effect. Again using my circle spellbinders die I crimped and embossed more smaller circles to which I added a sentiment and to shells.

These flowers are handmade using a set of flower punches from Tonic Studios - petal pairs. The pins are from the Hobbyhouse and the dolphin and seahorse are from a long forgotton jewellery set my daughter had when she was about six (14 years ago!) - hows that for utilising old stuff.  I am entering this card in the following challenges -
