Baby Girl

Hi here is a card I made for the design team over at rubysrainbow
I went for the clean and simple look - not something I find easy to do but just love this sentiment stamp and I wanted it to be the focal point of my card. I distressed the edge of the card with a versamagic pink ink and tied some gorgeous pink ribbon around it. I finished it with the 3 buttons and the gorgeous little tiny baby feet charm.
Please pop over to Rubys Rainbow and see all the other wonderful creations the design team have come up with and join in with this fortnights challenge.

Sending Happy Thoughts

Hi - back with one of my favourite House Mouse stamps. It's from the Love set called "Snuggle up"
Love greens and lilacs together so I coloured the image with muted shades of each using copics. I used my circle spellbinders die to showcase this cute image.
Here is my finished card. The backing paper is embossed and glittery but doesn't show well with my photography. The large flower is created using a spellbinders -cut, fold and tuck die. Its a die I don't use much but should as I love the effect. All pearls, lace, flowers and papers are from the HobbyHouse. The sentiment says "Sending Happy Thoughts Your Way". I'm sure with all the tragic events going on in this world we could all enjoy a bit more happiness. Sending all my blogging friends much love and happiness. xxx

The stamp is Hot Diggity Dog and I coloured it using copics. Those dogs are so darned cute xx
I used a paper from my stash and stamped the corners designs using Lili of the Valley corner stamps. I ripped some paper - inked the edges and then added 3 different contrasting ribbons. The sentiment is stamped from a Forever Friends set. _ that's 3 different stamps on one card! Happy Birthday Dad

Hi - its time for another challenge over at Rubys Rainbow The challenge set is to use squares in your creation. Please pop over and see all the wonderful design team creations and join in with us.
For my card I realised that its my Dads birthday coming up and as he belongs the RSPB what could be better then to use some of my crafty individual bird squares.

I used a Tim Holtzt ink - tea dye to distress the edges. The bird cage and bird are from some die cuts that I got from Summer crafting at Doncaster last year. I inked and then clear embossed them. It's impossible to see with my photography but the card has acetate cover.

Spring is in the Air

Time for another challenge over at House Mouse and this fortnight our challenge is "Spring".
This seems very appropriate as at last this weekend we saw some sunshine and I even got washing dried on the line! This is my third card as a guest designer for the House Mouse team and I am loving joining their team xx

My image is from the House Mouse Spring collection called "Crocus". Just love how this little mouse is helping brighten up the flowers. I used a spellbinders die to showcase the image in and copics to colour the image. I inked the edges using a VersaMagic lilac chalk ink.
The sentiment is stamped using a Daisy and Dandelion stamp and another spellbinders die. The butterfly is is cut using a Cherry Lynn die - "Exotic Butterfly". The bow is tied using some net but I have no idea what it is called. I have the net in about 8 different colours and just love it. I added some tiny gems around the image border and the contrasting purple spotty ribbon and flowers.

Happy Birthday

Hi - time for another challenge over at Rubys Rainbow. This fortnight is "Birthdays". Its 2 years since these challenges started so congratulations and Happy Birthday!
My card I made is for a young girl.
My image is a Sassy Cheryl one entitled "Play Dr Seuss". All the Dr Seuss books where favourites in our house but especially the Cat in the Hat so I just had to have this image. I coloured with copics in various shades of orange and purple. I then used an oval die to showcase her on.
I have recently purchased some label dies and am having fun making different sentiments for cards. Here are 2 of my recent ones. I'm hoping to save money in the long time lol! I added card candy around the image and tied some contrasting twine at the bottom.

Happiness is Homemade

Hi - here's a card for a friend who always has a welcoming piece of homemade cake when you go for a coffee. The set of stamps I have used I must have had for at least 2 years and this is their first outing - whoops!
The stamp set is made by Creative Expressions and is titled "Vintage Cooking" I used 2 Tim Holtz inks to distress around the edges of each square. All the papers are from the Hobby House - some are from
First addition paper - "Summer Breeze" and "Daydream" and the other from Craftwork Cards - Glitter Candy Cane Pad.
This is the inside of the card-sorry photography is wonky! Here I used another of the stamps from the set and one of Martha Stewart corner punches.

The individual stamps on the front I raised up and the sentiment is also from the set. I used a spellbinders die to showcase the sentiment and used two brads - a spoon and a food processor I have also had for ages, purchased from the Eyelet Outlet. I finished the card with a few gems.

This is the stamp I used on the back of my card, again from the same set. I love this and think it will be getting many more outings xxx

Easter Jumpers!

Hi - how time flies. Its already time for my next guest spot over at House Mouse Challenge Blog. This is my second card for them and I spoiled myself with a new stamp especially for it!

The challenge this fortnight is Springtime - this could be spring colours or spring related stamps.
The stamp I treated myself to is called "Will Knit for Friends". It is a wooden stamp and just the cutest ever My photography isn't the best but. how cute are those chicks! I coloured the image in using copics - my favourite craft pastime is colouring lol - got so many images coloured and not enough time to make them all into projects!
I used a Marianne Creatables  die  to showcase to showcase my Happy Hopper and chalked the edges lemon. The backing paper is from a craft cd but I have had it printed for so long I'm not sure which. The sentiment I stamped using my Just Rite stamps. The flowers are from the Hobby House at Tetney, as are the pearls. Finally added a lovely lemon and pink double bow.

Neutrals

Hi - just a quick post tonight. I had a go at making a Christmas card this afternoon using neutral colours only. This was inspired by the the challenge over at jinglebellesrock.
My stamp is made by Inkadinkado and a used a beige versafine ink to stamp it. The sentiment is a digi from McMahon Five Designs. The backing paper is a Forever Friends one and all edges I have distressed with beige inks. It is hard to see from my photography but I have used Atyou glitter pens on the snowy areas. Singin' In The Rain

Saw a challenge over at craftycreationschallenges and knew I had just the stamp for it. This is a Kraftin' Kimmie  stamp and is the first time I have used it.

It's been a great day for singing in the rain as its not stopped here most of the day! I coloured the image with copics and inked the edge with a Tim Holtz ink - weathered wood.

The stamp comes with the sentiment stamp as well. I triple mounted the sentiment using a spellbinders die.
The backing paper is one of the oldest I have and just shouted out to be used at last lol. The Happy Birthday is stamped and another Spellbinders die used. To finish I brightened up my card by adding lots of gems and a small blue bow.

Good morning all. I've been so excited waiting for today. I was chosen as a winner over at the House mouse challenge blog and part of the prize was to be a guest designer for them for March and April. I love House Mouse and friends so am absolutely thrilled to have this chance.
This fortnight the challenge is to use ribbon and pearls. You can use any House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image.
For my guest designer card I used  a stamp from the set - Birthdays-ice-cream.

The backing paper is from a 6x6 pad called Love Letters. I used a cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder and the lace edging is made with a Martha Stewart punch. I added ribbon from my stash down the left and tied a lovely double bow. The flowers are made using a a tonic studio petal pairs punch and the sentiment is stamped on a tag cut from a spellbinders die.To finish off I added pearls to the flower centres, on the sentiment and on the lace edging.

Hi back with my second post of the day. Not often a have time to blog this much but had to make some time to make a new baby card for a friend from work. This lovely digi is a freebie from deariedollsdigis - this site has lots of wonderful free digis - a great help to any crafter - many thanks. I have coloured it with my copics. The backing paper is one I have had for years from K&Company - a 6x6 pad called Hopscotch. The little buttons are from my stash.

From Me To you

Hi after seeing a card shaped like this following a trip to Grimsby Crafts I just had to have a go myself. I decided one of the wonderful Bella images would fit nicely.
I coloured the image with copics. I am pleased with the shading on the elephant. I think my classes with Kate at Grimsby Crafts are paying off (.downrightcrafty ). This is a link to her blog - thanks Kate x

I used a new spellbinders die to showcase Bella. The backing papers are from my stash. I added some flowers from the Hobby House, a die cut flourish and some pearls. I finished it off with a sentiment and bow xx. This last picture shows how I folded a piece of A4 card to make the card base.
