Love Horses

I'd been asked to make a wedding card but with horses as the main theme for a friends daughter. I thought this was a big responsibility and a huge challenge for me. The Bride and Groom to be are in the process of buying a small piece of land to keep her horse and they are so excited.
She didn't want "cute" so after lots of searching I discovered this wonderful stamp on www.aries-crafts.co.uk - it .was even titled "Love Horses". The wedding colour scheme is white, gold and cream so this is what I based my design on.
I spent ages arranging flowers then moving them again but evetually came up with this beautiful spray to which I added the gold leaves - all from my stash. I inked the edges of the cream and white flowers with brilliance galaxy gold ink.
After trying various inks I settled on stamping the etched image with VersaMagic - Jumbo Java. My friend kindly cut me a large heart on her cricut machine and again I inked the edges with gold.I had also been asked to put the bride and grooms names on - eek! Looking through my alphabet draw I discovered some dark brown craft transfers from Alpha Mishmash. I don't always find transfers very easy but discovering nothing better I had a go and am pleased to tell they are excellent - so easy to transfer. I finished the card with white and gold ribbon , more flowers and two heart pins to which I added some gold beads. The gold bead spray on the right came from a headpiece my daughter had as a bridesmaid 12 years ago. Hows that for hoarding stash - and I didnt craft at the time! I just love the brass "I DO" ribbon slide. Although I didn't photograph the inside of the card the sentiment I used says it all -
"Wishing you both a Beautiful Forever"
