Valentines Love

Hi its time for another challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow. This time I had the honour of choosing the theme and as its getting near valentines day that had to be my theme.  I went for a male themed card which I found hard as  it out ruled all my pretty embellishments. Here is what I came up with -

This is stamped with an old wooden stamp that I love. I coloured it with pens and decided to go with a blue theme and breakaway from the traditional red of valentines day! I added a gorgeous heart ribbon slide and finished it of with a swirl of rhinestones. All papers used are from my stash.

You Can't Rewind Life

This snow is at least giving me plenty of time for crafting and I'm loving it. Going through my birthday book and getting a good start on all the birthdays coming up. My daughter is away at university and this card is for one of her house mates who is 21 soon. They are studing music and education and both play piano so this digi from KennyK was just right.

I have used copics to colour the image and used a spellbinders die to showcase her on. Its very hard to see but the backing paper actually has music manuscript on it. The digi is called Tori famous. This is the first time I have used her but definitely wont be the last.

The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado and thought it went well as they are having such a great time at university.
I decided to create a tri-fold card and cut the 21 using some chipboard templates. I embossed some white card with a Happy birthday embossing folder and matted and layered the sides. I made the flowes using my new Petal Posie die and added some pearls and gems. Finally I added a happy Birthday sentiment.

Teddy Friends

Saw a sketch over at seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.uk and thought I'd use it to create a birthday card for my niece. Really not sure where this image is from or even if its a stamp as I've had it in my box of images to colour for ages (does anyone know?).

Decided to go for bright colours to warm up a very cold snowy day! All the papers are from my stash. The sentiment is stamped using my favourite Just Rite Stamps. The rose is made using a Tonic petal pairs punch and the buttons are finished off with a twine centre. The image itself is coloured using my copics - having been converted to copics I don't know what I'd do without them.

Walking The Dog

Still finding male cards difficult but in the end quite pleased with this one I have made for my Godsons 12th birthday.
This digi image was free from Copic Marker Scrapbooking and is called Zombie Dog Walkies! Isn't it just a great image. I coloured it using my copics of course and added the grass cut using a die made by Poppy Stamps.
All the backing papers and card are from my stash - difficult to see but I've added two little creature brads - a ladybird and a caterpillar and finished it off with 4 contrasting buttons.
Just at the minute Britain is in the grip of winter and we are all getting or awaiting more snow today. Please stay safe and warm and be careful if you have to travel xx

Love

Good afternoon - found time to make 3 cards over the last two days. Its all this snow keeping me inside but I have to admit I love it - everything looks so clean and beautiful.
This card I have made for some very special friends anniversary - 24 years this year so can't wait for their silver wedding in another 12 months.x.
This is a gorgeous wooden stamp from All Night Media - think its quite an old one as I bought it second hand. Think its supposed to be Christmasy  but I've adapted it for an anniversary card.

I made these lovely blooms with a new die from Santa  It's made by Memory Box and is called Pin-wheel Posie. I added the bright green gems to the centre and am thrilled with the effect.
Here is my finished creation. The papers are all from my stash. The lace I won from a lovely lady in Germany on a blog hop. The sentiment is stamped using my Just Right Stamps and cut using my circle Spellbinders. I finished it off adding the gorgeous swirls using pink and green hotfix rhinestones and pearls.

Hi - its time for another challenge over at Ruby's rainbow. This week we want to see anything that makes you smile.
This is a stamp set I have had for at least a year and has not had an outing, so I was really pleased to use it.

The image is showcased using my new spellbinders die that Santa bought me - I love it and will come in great
for Valentine cards. I used my copics to colour and added some gorgeous ribbons and a lovely heart, beaded hat pin.
