Her blog is - http://downrightcrafty.blogspot.co.uk/. I added a little glamour dust to the hat.

This is the last challenge before Christmas so please go along and join in and they will be back with more challenges in the New Year.
For my card I used 2 spellbinders dies -nestabilities Heirloom Ornament. This is my first use of them and thought the image I have used from http://fred-she-said-store.blogspot.ca/ fitted in very well.  Fred she said are sponsors of the challenge this week. The backing paper is from an old magazine which went great and I added a double bow with a glittered flower to finish.

Christmas Robins

Hi - this is a very exciting day for me. I have the pleasure of joining the design team over at Ruby's Rainbows http://rubysrainbow.blogspot.co.uk/.
The challenge this fortnight is to make a different shaped card. Only last week at the NEC  I bought some birdhouse shaped cards so they just fitted the bill.
This stamp is so festive. It is from WW.circadesign.co.uk  called Bird Box Xmas. I coloured it using copics and my new Atyou glitter pens  - again a new purchase from the NEC! I used my spellbinders circle die to showcase it on.
This is my finished card which I was pleased with as I hadn't been sure how they would turn out. I got 5 cards for £1 as well so what a bargain and as my friend Helen said, I can save one to use a s a template -(why didn't I think of that lol). I used another new die by Cheery Lynn Designs - Holly Flourish and the flowers are made using my tonic punch petal pairs to which I added some ice stickles. I added some gems around the sentiment and a beautiful double bow.
I decorated the inside to complement the front. This card is going to be for my wonderful Mum and Dad. I love them to pieces and as they both support the RSPB I know they will love it.

Winter Warmer

Good morning all. Its Friday again and time for another challenge over at http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk. This week its a great one for all - "Anything Goes" - as long as its Christmas!
For my Dt card I went for a snowy feel as its sure been cold enough for snow this week.
The stamp is one of the oldest I own and I no longer have the packaging so don't know where its from (does anyone else know?) I used a hexagonal card - Craft your Passion are having a challenge to use anything hexagonal this week. I used three of my dies this week - a spellbinders die to stamp the image on and another spellbinders die to create the snowflakes. The gorgeous leafy swirls are a die from Joy crafts - floral flourishes. I added the let it snow sentiment - whoops that's four dies - circle spellbinders die and finished it off with some gems, pearls and a lovely white bow.

Gingerbread Man

Hi - was glad to see a decoupage challenge over at Christmas Crafting as I love doing decoupage but don't do enough nowadays.
This cute Gingerbread Man is from Craft Creations - I curled the edges of the découpage and added some stickles to the fur on his hat.
The backing paper is from my Christmas stash. I used two of my dies - both by Marianne Creatables - to add some embellishments and finished it off with some red sticky gems.

Waiting for Christmas

Hi Friday sure comes around quickly and so its time for a new challenge over at CSAYL. http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo.
The winner will receive 7 images of their choice. Hope you can come along and join us.
My card uses one of their digis - Xmas Brat Boy - hes so cute.
The design is quite simple but shows off the digi well. The challenge is to use your favourite colour combo and I just love the blues and greens for this card for a little boy.
Just read the CSAYL post and it now says "Anything Goes" so I guess favourite colour combo or anything goes is just fine lol.

Colourful 18th Birthday

Its my lovely nieces 18th birthday soon. Shes such a wacky dresser - bold colours - odd shoes and socks so I thought the colour scheme over at http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.co.uk would be great for her personality.
This stamp is from the House Mouse set -"Birthdays-ice cream". I coloured the image using copics following the colour theme of orange, purple, lime green and black.
I cut the 18th from card using chipboard templates and  then inked it with vivid inks and used a clear embossing powder to give it shine.

This is part of my card which I chose an easel design. I added the flowers from Prima essentials - strawberry kisses and added mathcing card candi centres.

This is the base of the easel with more flowers a lovely sentiment and some black and orange ribbon. There is also 2 bead decorated hat pins and 3 purple gems.

Here is my finished card - thanks for looking xx

Following the circle theme, I used my circle spellbinders, a circle sentiment and lots eyelets as well as 2 circle brads - think that's about covered it.  I added 3 different gorgeous Christmasy ribbons all purchased from Grimsby Crafts - I had a real ribbon shop and have a bag full of lots of lushous new ribbons now.

Girly Christmas

Hi here's a card a made with a couple of challenges in mind - over at Ruby's Rainbows they are asking you to use a doily. Now I got some of these in a craft pack and have only ever used one so thought it was about time I tried again. We have a lovely little girl next door to us whose bedroom is pink so think this will just be right for her.
The digi is from Digi Doodling and is called "Tilly and Bauble" -I coloured it using my copics. After  not using doilys much I ended up using 2!. Both were white and I inked them with versa Magic pink and purple inks. The first just sets the image off well and the second I cut and concertinaed along the edge of my card. I then added some pink velvet ribbon and the Merry Christmas sentiment along with 3 pink flowers with card candi centres.

Scarecrow say Hi

Hi - I'm back with my third Halloween card! This is amazing as I have never before made a Halloween card but have really enjoyed using all the bright Halloween colours. I decide to make this one for my friends daughter who is away a university, just to say "Hello" and make her smile.
This lovely digi is from Dearie Dolls  - He is so seasonal and I so enjoyed colouring him using my copics. I don't know whether its easy to see but I have covered the background paper with a fine orange mesh which actually came from a bag of satsumas - hows that for recycling! I added some contrasting card candi  and A hello sentiment. The little cat button I have had for years so was glad to put it to use at last. The pumpkin embellishment is from my stash.

Ghostly Halloween

Having got a lovely Halloween digi from Sassy Cheryl, I thought I just ought to use it.
These two scarecrows are great - just love their pumpkin heads. The backing paper is a freebie from Bearly Mine blog and is just so spooky - a big thank you to them for all their wonderful free downloads. I coloured the digi using copics and used my circle spellbinder dies to cut all the circles. I added the pumpkin ribbon and the bats are table confetti from a Halloween party last year! The little white Ghost is a button I've had for ages. I added 4 small orange brads to the corners.
Love this stamp - its from my collection of Just Rite Stamps. Again I coloured it with copics. All this Halloween Blogging makes me think we should celebrate the holiday more in Britain - think we are missing out.

Is Blue Traditional?

Hi - time for another challenge over at http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week the challenge is to make your project using Traditional Christmas Colours. Now as you will see unfortunately I didn't read the remit of the Dt instructions thoroughly and went ahead making my card in various shades of blue!  Surely blue could be traditional lol - after all snowy scenes have been shades of blue for ages!
This week they are sponsored by Limited Run Digis and my digi used is called "Catching a Snowflake".
She is coloured using my copics and the fur sparkled up using a mixture of blue and silver glitter. I have also added glitter to the little snowflakes.

I had seen a sketch over at "My Mums Craft Shop" which I liked and so based the design of my card on it. The backing paper was a free download from "Bearly Mine" - a gorgeous swirly snowflake design. The sentiments are two of my favourite wooden stamps - "A Snowflake is Winters Butterfly" is from Hero Arts but really not sure where I got the other one from. There is a really lovely snowflake corner die cut from Memory Box in the right bottom corner. I finished off the card with some contrasting gems and pearls.

Little Witch

Hi don,t have cause to make Halloween cards so have been feeling quite jealous of all the wonderful creations I,ve been looking at around blog land. I know that Halloween is massive in America but here in England although becoming more popular, sending Halloween cards is something that just doesn't happen, or certainly not with my family and friends! Anyway at last someone to send my Halloween creation too. Sarah whom I work with hasn't been with us too long and speaking to her the other day I discovered she'd lived in Florida for 6 years and is so excited about Halloween. At last my chance - so here's the card I have created for her -
This so cute Witch is a digi from Some Odd Girl and is called "Witchy Mae". I coloured her using my copicss. The backing paper is from an old magazine. I don't know where I got the black witch silhouette from - had it in my stash for so long but at last a use for her!
Hope Sarah has a great Halloween and the same to everyone else out there who celebrates.

Snowmen Trio

Heres my Dt card for http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week we are again sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo.
The challenge is "Anything Goes" - as long as it's Christmas themed!
I used one of Bugaboos lovely digis called - Make it Snappy, Snowman Trio.
The image is coloured with my copics - I went for non-traditional colours - think this cheeky trio suited the blues and pinks. I have even managed some shading on the hats after my copics class at Grimsby crafts. The lovely Kate Wiles is a great tutor in all thats copics lol - her own blog is - http://downrightcrafty.blogspot.co.uk - pop and look and be impressed.
I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders - snowflakes.

The bow is made with some Hessian type fabric I have in my stash - not really sure what it is. I added some pale blue pearls as well as a few other embellishments from my stash to finish. I would like to enter this in the following challenges -

Get Them Checked!

Hi all - life's pretty hectic as usual but just had to fit in a card to promote Breast Cancer awareness Month. My sentiment is -"Get Them Checked" - this is one of the most important things for us ladies. Whether it is self examination or by someone in the medical profession, I ask please check. I say this with a certainty as 2 years ago I found a lump myself. I had it checked out immediately and yes it was the big C but after 18 months of surgery and chemotherapy I can now proudly say I'm a survivor! I am happy, healthy and so glad to be able to give this message to others.
Heres my card -
The sentiment and the backing paper are both freebies from http://www.linkupforpink.com/ - they are a wonderful blog who promote breast cancer awareness all year long. They are currently holding their 2nd annual Link Up For Pink Party - so please pop over and have a look.

Tag It

Good morning - its time for another challenge over at http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week the challenge is to create a tag or project with a tag on it - all Christmas inspired of cause. The prize is to be a guest designer so hope you will come along and join us x
Thought I would make a tag to go on my Godsons Christmas present - he's 3 and gorgeous and loves Micky Mouse. I started by stamping the tag its self with a stamp from Papermania - a set called Seasons Greetings.I then stamped the sentiment and the snowflakes all from another Papermania set -Sleigh. I then backed the tag with some deep red and black card. After this I used some clear embossing powder over the whole tag to give it a lovely shiny appearance. The micky is decoupaged and I finished it with some ribbons from my stash, a spotty brad  and some small red gems in the snowflake middles.

The Big 50!

Its my wonderful husbands 50th birthday this weekend. We have a big party coming up to celebrate and lots of surprises for him so can't wait. His birthday started early last night with a very special meal at our best friends and a gift of the most special bottle of courvoisier brandy in a wonderful presentation casket. He was thrilled - big thanks to Ted and Helen, very much appreciated xxx
Here's the card I've made him. He loves golf so it just had to be golf themed.
This wonderdful digi is from http://annescards4u.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/freebie. She has lots of free digis - thanks so much.
I coloured it with copics and used a Sizzix oval die.
I still find man cards hard, I seem to have little inspiration. Decided on a different shape for a special birthday. The grass is a die from Poppystamps  called grassland border. I stamped the sentiment using a Just Rite stamp. I'm sure he will love it. Just need our daughter to get home from university tonight and let the celebrations begin xxxx

Winter Love

Hi, its time for my next DT card over a Christmas Stampin' All Year Long -http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week the challenge is a photo inspiration - based on this pic - could be that you chose to use the colours, or layers, cake or bells, whatever inspires you.

This week the challenge is sponsored by the wonderful "Bugaboo" and the digi I chose is called Little Penguin Winter - Winter Bench.

I used a spellbinders die to showcase the digi and coloured it with copics. The photography is not too good but the penguins tummy's are shiny with glossy accents and the snow is glittery.
I went for an easel card and used papers from a new magazine I bought - Creative Card Making. I punched some snowflakes and added gems as centres. The sentiment is also from the magazine which I mounted on a circle cut from a spellbinders die. I added a little heart button and a Christmas Tree button to finish it off. Friends

Well back after a wonderful 2 weeks celebrating our Silver Wedding in Lake Garda - Italy. Can't believe I've been married to a wonderful man for 25 years.
After having a long look around blog land I decided to start off with a House Mouse card. I already had the decoupage cut out so thought it was about time I used it.

I just love the Gruffies and this pair remind me of all the wonderful Italian ice creams I have just indulged in lol! Over at the House Mouse blog their challenge this week is friends so this just fits the bill so well. All the backing papers are from my stash - love the script friends one. I added some gorgeous pale pink lace, and the flowers are from Hobby House. I added a couple of skeleton leaves which I found whilst routing through my craft drawers! I finished with the sentiment and some diamanté for a bit of bling.

Christmas pillow box

Hi, another week nearly over and time for a new challenge over at http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week our challenge is "Anything but a Card" - Christmas themed of cause!

I love making gift boxes so this was an easy one to design for. I made this pillow box from a sheet of 12x12 paper from my stash. It wasn't specifically a Christmas paper but think it changed beautifully. I decided to use up some peel offs  I've had for years. I stuck them onto acetate and then cut round them to make the silver snowflakes and did the same for the little robin.
I stamped the Christmas sentiment and tied various contrasting ribbons around the box added the acetate snowflakes with lilac roses at their centres. I finished the box by adding some purple stickles to the spots on the card the box is made from to add a bit of Christmas bling. I had some spare card so I went on to make a matching gift tag. I again made the silver flower using peel offs and acetate. Please pop over to CSAYL and see all the other creations the design team have made. xx

Christmas Hedgehogs

Hi just a quick post with a card that fits Crafty Hazelnuts challenge this week. love this stamp - the hedgehogs just make me smile.
This is an old stamp from Penny Black -  their stamps are always a favourite. I coloured the image with copics and used glamour dust on the snow. Thought I'd keep this simple so I've used various blue papers and card from my stash, added the sentiment and then the snowflake die is from memory box dies. I finished with a selection of blue sticky gems. Think this card will be lovely for a couple this Christmas.x

Can I Play For You?

Here's a Christmas card I made for the Holly Jolly sketch challenge; he also reminds me of the christmas carol 'Little Drummer Boy'. I've left my laptop at work so am posting this from my daughters laptop; so I can't tell you where the digi is from but isn't he cute.

I coloured him with copics markers, cut him into a rectangle, rounded the corners and edged him with green ink. I them backed him with red paper.
I followed the challenge which is a sketch over at Jolly Holly blog this week. Hope you like it and are all enjoying this lovely sunny weather we are having. Only a short post as heading off for a night shift in 10 mins. So sleep well and everyone -I'll think of you during the night lol.xxx

Tis the Season...

Wow - my third post today. Had to make a card when I saw the challenge over at Winter Wonderland is a winter sport.
This cute little fellow is a wooden stamp from Penny Black called - Exhilarating. I have had him coloured for ages - well before I discovered copics or thinking about what type of card to stamp on. He's coloured with whisper stroke pens and I think he looks great although different to what I'm doing now. The sentiment stamp is from a clear stamp set - Simply Adornit - Carolee's Creations. All the backing papers are from my stash and the snowflakes are made using a spellbinders die.

Christmas Gift Card

Hi - its time for another challenge over at http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/. This week the challenge is to make your own patterned paper. I am so enjoying being part of their Design team. The prize this week is 2 templates of your choice from AR by Adela.
I decided to go for a silhouette stamped background paper.

To make this I dug out one of the oldest set of stamps I have - "Santa's Coming To Town" made by See-D's. These should get more use as they stamped really well.
I chose a template called Gift and Card Combo and found it very straight forward to work with.
Again I used another of the stamps from the See-D's and what a jolly Santa he is. I coloured him with copics and then used glamour dust for the hat and his beard. The sentiment is again from the same set - so glad I found it again. This is the front of the gift/ card finished with some red gems.

This is the finished design and I'm very pleased with it - there will definitely be more made with gifts for Christmas in them.
I would like to enter this in the following challenges -
